Nano Zinc Oxide

USES AND PROPERTIES :

• Pharmaceutical grade Nanoparticular Zinc Oxide is a transparent powder that acts as a physical sun blocking agent that works primarily by reflecting/scattering ultraviolet light. The fact that the UV rays are absorbed and reflected like they would be from small mirrors makes using nano zinc oxide as a physical UV filter in sunscreens ideal.
• It has a broad range of effectiveness, covering UVB and UVA rays and particles used for sunscreens are in the range of 20 to 60nm
• It is stable in sunlight and can provide greater protection from UVA rays than titanium oxide or any other sunscreen chemicals. Titanium dioxide and regular zinc oxide only blocks visible light wavelengths at 600 nm, whereas Nano Zinc Oxide UV BP-1 and Nano Zinc Oxide UV BP-2 block not at 600nm but also down to 380 – 400 nm, depending on the specific formulation
